Physical character :

Colourless odd tilted crystal. Relative density 1.69 (17 centigrade). Melting point 86.5 centigrade (dehydration become anhydrous aluminum sulfate of white powder). Dissolve in water, acid and alkali , insoluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is acidity. Heat to 770centigrade, decompound become sulfur dioxide, alumina, vapour and sulfur trioxide. After hydrolyzation become aluminium hydrate. Industrial products is hoar flake , graininess or form of block, because of containing low ferric salt(FeSO4) has pea green ,make the product surface turn yellow because ferric salt has been oxidized. The roughness product is hoar porous structure crystal thing , contains little vitriol , has acid and astringent smell. The aqueous solution boils for a long time generates alkaline aluminum sulfate.
